 About Shelley

Shelley - Boating.jpg

Originally from North Carolina, Shelley grew up moving from city to city—Raleigh, Charlotte, Nashville, and Columbus to be exact—for her father’s job in the banking industry. This transitory experience proved to be formative, and fostered an early passion for family, architecture, and details that make a house a home.

Upon graduating from Wofford College (where, fun fact, she helped begin the women’s golf program!) Shelley moved to the Lowcountry and gained professional experience, and a diverse skill set, working in the golf and medical device industries.

Shelley’s attention to detail and extensive knowledge of the local area—she has called Charleston home for seventeen years—are well suited for real estate. But it’s her outgoing energy and love of working with others that make her a natural fit for the job.

When she’s not working, you can find Shelley boating and fishing with her family, supporting her school-aged children Eleanor and George at their many extracurricular activities, or dining at her favorite John’s Island restaurant (Wild Olive!) with her husband, Greg.

Q&A with Shelley

What does home mean to you?

A house is a structure but a home is a feeling—one of safety, love, relaxation, comfort. A home is not just an investment financially, but an investment emotionally as it offers a space to create memories, experiences, togetherness.

Quick—what’s your favorite area in Charleston and why?

Our church is between Meeting, King, and Tradd Streets downtown and I always enjoy being near it. It brings back memories of when the kids were babies and going to church with them then taking George to preschool there.

Favorite event or weekend in Charleston?

SEWE has always been a fun weekend for us as a family. We love getting to learn about the animals in Marion Square and watching the dock dog competition at Brittlebank Park. It’s a great weekend in Charleston!
