After a sales career in textiles, including ten years with Miliken & Company, my wife and I relocated to Pawleys Island and for the past seven years I have been selling coastal real estate and established myself as a multi-million dollar sales agent. I have developed a personal knowledge of oceanfront properties and a special talent for finding good investment property for builders and developers.
I was born in Lake City, South Carolina and raised in Greenwood, South Carolina. I received my BS Degree in Administrative Management fromClemson University in 1977. I have been married over twenty years to my wife, the former Jane Newman, from Altavista, Virginia. I am the proud stepdad of Richard Carter, a doctor in Richmond, Virginia and Melissa Carter, a paralegal/office manager in Atlanta, Georgia. We have two grandchildren that are our pride and joy - Courtney and Rick Carter of Richmond.
My wife and I share in the fulfillment of volunterring to help the elderly and underprivileged. Through our fund-raising efforts and diligence we have been successful in helping several families in Georgetown County.
My love of nature and the outdoors makes this area a "haven of beauty". In my free time, if you don't find me on the golf course, you'll find me relaxing at the shore with my family.
