Kaycee graduated from Salem College with a B.A. in Business and Communication in 1982 and is a member of the Community Associations Institute. This past year she successfully completed the CM-100 course and is working toward her CMCA designation.

Kaycee serves on the Ashley School Foundation Board currently as Secretary of the Executive Committee and in the past as Chair for Institutional Advancement, volunteers for Kiawah Island Community Association task forces as well as Town of Kiawah Island task forces, is an active Sustainer with the Junior League of Charleston and serves on the Wofford College Parents Advisory Council.

She and her husband John have two young adult children. Elly graduated from Ashley Hall in 2006 and Wofford College in 2010; she is currently living in New York City. Jay graduated from Porter Gaud in 2009 and is a rising junior at Wofford. Now that the nest is partially empty, Kaycee and John have enjoyed making Kiawah their full time residence.
